About InventorsGrid
Bridging the gap between open-source hardware repositories and in-depth engineering journalism.
Our Mission
The open-source hardware and maker movements are producing extraordinary innovations: custom RISC-V silicon breakouts, sub-microamp IoT sensor nodes, precision multi-axis robotics, and edge AI accelerators. Yet, much of this work remains buried in GitHub repositories, forum threads, or brief social media snippets.
InventorsGrid was founded to provide rigorous, structured engineering analysis for remarkable physical computing and embedded projects. We treat hardware reporting as a technical discipline: inspecting actual schematics, explaining IC component selections, measuring power dissipation budgets, reviewing firmware abstraction layers, and documenting real-world implementation constraints.
The Editorial Philosophy
Every article published on InventorsGrid adheres to non-negotiable principles:
- No Fake Claims: We never claim to have physically benchmarked or fabricated a circuit unless verified laboratory measurements were conducted.
- Original Analysis: We do not re-publish README files or regurgitate press releases. We explain why a circuit was designed a certain way and what trade-offs the inventor made.
- Attribution First: Every project prominently features direct citations to original inventors, source schematics, and open-source hardware licenses (CERN-OHL, TAPR, MIT, Apache 2.0).
- Technical Depth Over Volume: We prioritize exhaustive circuit analysis, register documentation, and practical maker insights over rapid publication volume.
